Southern United's non-standard automobile products and programs are marketed exclusively through Independent Insurance Agents. Currently there are more than 1,600 independent insurance agencies representing Southern United, with more coming aboard each day. Our non-standard auto insurance products are licensed in Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi and South Carolina.

In 1998 Southern United was acquired by Kingsway Financial Services Inc. (listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange, under the trading symbol "KFS")
